Cheltenham Saracens Under 17s versus Frampton Cotterell U17s RFC
Sunday 30 September- 11am kick off
Final score Saracens 29-24 Frampton Cotterell

Houlder hat trick seals it for Saras
In only their second home fixture of the season, Saracens U17s battled hard with an impressive team performance to secure victory over Frampton Cotterell giving the Under 17s their second successive win.
The game started at a fierce pace and it was Saracens who struck first with a powerful blind side break from the No. 8 Frankie Foster to take them into a 5-0 lead after just five minutes. Saracens were the better team in the early phase of play but a loose ball was intercepted by the Frampton centre who scored a breakaway try to edge them into a 7-5 lead. The home side responded strongly and following a great break from Matt Reynolds, Jack Panton ran over the second Saras try to restore the lead at 12-7.
It was Frampton who then rallied and with Saracens conceding far too many penalties, Frampton seized the advantage and equalised on 25 minutes to take the game to 12 - 12. In a great period of play towards the end of the first period which saw Saracens prop Kieran White break the Frampton defence with several crashing runs, it was a quick ball to winger Josh Houlder which finally broke the deadlock to restore the lead to 17 -12 at the break.
Frampton changed their game plan early in the second half and a strong forward performance put the Saracens defence under pressure for sustained periods of play. With Frampton scoring on 50 minutes to equalise the score at 17 – 17 the game was finely balanced. Saracens never gave up and with superior line out play and great running from the backs, Josh Houlder ran in his second try of the game on 70 minutes to move Saracens 24 – 17 ahead. Saracens increased the pressure in the final period but Frampton battled well and scored again on 78 minutes to peg the deficit to just two points setting up a tense final few minutes. Saracens held their nerve and in the final minute, George Davies drove over Josh Houlder in the corner for the winger's hat trick giving Saracens a hard fought and well deserved 29 -24 victory.
